The Digital and Future Skills Strategy
The Digital and Future Skills Strategy, prepared by the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies (DCDT) presents a vision of a South Africa in which all its people are able to benefit from enhanced digital skills, thereby contributing to a significantly improved quality of life, improved education and higher economic growth. Digital skills are one of the key skill sets required for the creation of new kinds of 21st-century jobs. Originality, agility, critical thinking and problem-solving are important 21st-century skills that must be interwoven with digital skills.
Through community development programmes, sustainable economic development strategies should be central in order to realize and achieve the goals set under the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, some of which are to eradicate poverty, reduce inequalities, bring quality education and ensure good health and well-being for all.
As the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #4 prescribes, we at AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy fundamentally believe in inclusive and quality education for all which reaffirms our purpose - education is the most important vehicle for sustainable development and a thriving economy.
