AlgoAtWork Mafia secures $30000 in Seed Funding for Innovations | Moses Kotane Institute

Introducing the #AlgoAtWorkRoboticsAcademy, where innovation meets impact. Our cutting-edge research and development are changing the game in the world of robotics, and we're excited to share some of our groundbreaking projects with you. Under the #MosesKotaneInstitute's commercialization program, AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy in partnership with Algorhythmlab is currently working on three revolutionary projects: the Smart Medical Transporter, Intelligent Stick for the Visually Impaired, and an IoT Farming System. Each of these projects has been designed to profoundly impact society, with topics ranging from health to education to agriculture. Adelaide Hendrikse (15) is leading the Smart Medical Transporter project, which aims to transform how medical supplies/ body organs are delivered to needy patients. With this technology, we can ensure that medical supplies and organs are delivered promptly and efficiently, potentially saving countless lives. The Intelligent Stick for the Visually Impaired is another project close to our hearts. We are repacking this as a headband together with Jivesh Ramnath (15) as a team leader. We believe everyone should have equal opportunities, and this device has been developed to help those with visual impairments navigate their environment safely and confidently. Finally, our IoT Farming System is set to revolutionize agriculture by enabling farmers to monitor their crops and livestock remotely, providing valuable insights and data that can help them optimize their farming practices and improve yields. At AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy, we are committed to developing technologies that have a real-world impact on society. Our team of experts is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible, and we are always looking for new partners and investors to help us achieve our goals. Join us in our mission to create a better world through robotics. Contact us today to learn more about our projects and how you can become a part of the AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy story. ________________________________________________________________________ A bit about AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy: AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy is a launchpad to a future of unlimited possibilities and the premier institute in South Africa where young minds explore the fascinating world of robotics and artificial intelligence. Building a Future-Ready Workforce | A Keynote Address by CHIETA CEO, Mr Yershen Pillay | #AlgoAtWork

In this Keynote Address delivered during the #CHIETARoboticsAndAISymposium in partnership with #AlgoAtWorkRoboticsAcademy, The Chemicals Industry Education & Training Authority, Mr #YershenPillay emphasizes the high premium placed on human skills in the workplace, particularly as digitization becomes more prevalent. He also stresses the need for leadership that incorporates emotional intelligence and human skills to bring teams together and work towards a common goal. He argues that youth are often viewed as consumers or problems, but instead, they should be seen as assets and leaders in society. He encourages parents to nurture their children's unique possibilities instead of imposing predetermined goals. Mr Pillay points out that the #fourthindustrialrevolution has already begun, and that #robotics and #AI are set to transform the chemical and manufacturing industries. However, he also warns of the growing digital skills gap between urban and rural areas, proposing the introduction of CHIETA Smart Skills Centres across 9 provinces in #SouthAfrica as a solution to bridge this gap and provide basic digital literacy skills. Finally, Yershen Pillay calls for coordinated efforts from private entities, government, and civil society to tackle youth unemployment in the country. He outlines CHIETA's contributions to this cause, including providing services, bursaries, scholarships, and career guidance for tech fields. Revolutionizing Education: How #KZNRoboticsRoadshow Sparked Innovation in Underserved Communities

In the heart of KwaZulu-Natal, on roads less travelled, a transformational journey unfolded. We, at #AlgoAtWorkRoboticsAcademy, with #CHIETA and #Arm(E3)NGAGE by our side, took to these dusty tracks with one mission: to unveil the magic of #robotics and #STEM to learners in every corner of the province. With each school we visited, another chapter of our story was written. The faces of learners lit up with wonder as they dived into the fascinating world of robotics. They were no longer just spectators; they were creators, innovators, the future architects of technology. Witnessing this spark of curiosity, the seed of transformation being planted was a sight to behold. But every story demands a sequel, and ours is no different. The #KZNRoboticsRoadshow was just the prologue. Our vision now turns to embedding this newfound knowledge into the classrooms, to empower our teachers with the ability to keep this spark alive and fuel the flame of innovation in our students. We invite you to watch our journey, captured in this short film. Feel the excitement, share in the awe-inspiring moments, and witness the birth of a revolution. The path is set, and now we ask you to join us, as we turn every classroom into a stage for the #innovators of tomorrow. This is our story, this is our mission. Let's write the next chapter together. #AlgoAtWork #STEMEducation #CHIETARoboticsClub #RoboticsWithCHIETA #IAMSMG #OnArm ___________________________________________________________________________ A bit about AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy: AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy is a launchpad to a future of unlimited possibilities and the premier institute in South Africa where young minds explore the fascinating world of robotics and artificial intelligence. Innovate Durban Robotics Bootcamp | Facilitated by AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy

As #AlgoAtWorkRoboticsAcademy, We genuinely believe that to attract the massive amounts of local and foreign investment needed to unlock economic growth there can't be shortcuts - we need to dirty our hands and with long-term objectives; drive sustainable development programs that will bring about the returns we desperately seek within the next 5-10 years and beyond. Collaborative missions and programmes such as the #InnovateDurban x AlgoAtWork Robotics Bootcamp that was coordinated during the first week of July, exactly a year later after the deadly riots that ripped the KZN province apart, are therefore important in creating this new brand of a city of #eThekwini that will be saturated with inventions and bring excitement not just for the local market but disrupt the global market in the very near future. We also believe that development is a process that takes time, tons of passion, resilience, and dedication and so all efforts, no matter how small they may seem at face value, are just as important as the rest of the components to make an insanely great 'product' - dynamic human beings. We would like to show our gratitude to Amy Benn, the Innovate Durban Co-Lab Lead for her passion, and drive towards youth development and skills programmes. Her dedication and love for people make her a great team member. Massive thanks goes towards Innovate Durban for this amazing opportunity. To our colleagues and partners at the Durban University of Technology, thank you so much for your obsession for greatness, your involvement in this initiative was a lovely experience - so looking forward to more collaborative missions of such a nature in the near future. ______________________________________________________________________________________ About AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy As the United Nations' #SustainableDevelopmentGoal #4 prescribes, we at AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy fundamentally believe in inclusive and quality #Technology education for all which reaffirms our purpose - #education is the most essential vehicle for the sustainable development of a thriving economy.
